٧٤١ - يرجى تقديم معلومات عن التدابير المتخذة على المستوى التشريعي وغيره من المستويات لضمان عدم فرض عقوبة الاعدام أو السجن مدى الحياة بسبب جرائم يرتكبها أشخاص تقل أعمارهم عن ٨١ سنة دون وجود إمكانية للافراج عنهم.

52- يهيب أيضاً بالدول أن تخفف هذه العقوبات على الفور وأن تكفل نقل أي طفل حُكم عليه سابقاً بعقوبة الإعدام أو السجن مدى الحياة دون إمكانية الإفراج من مرافق السجن الخاصة، ولا سيما من مرافق سجن المحكوم عليهم بالإعدام، وتحويله إلى مؤسسات الاحتجاز العادية المناسبة لسنه وللجرم المرتكب؛

The Convention on the Rights of the Child also specifies that States parties may not allow a sentence of life imprisonment without possibility of release to be imposed for offences committed by persons below 18 years of age (art. 37 (a)).
وتحدّد اتفاقية حقوق الطفل أيضاً أنه لا يجوز للدول الأطراف أن تسمح بعقوبة السجن مدى الحياة دون إمكانية الإفراج في الجرائم التي يرتكبها أشخاص دون سن الثامنة عشرة (الفقرة (أ) من المادة 37).
