Turkey encouraged the authorities to take into consideration the recommendations made by the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women and the Committee against Torture to intensify the fight against trafficking and address the root causes, including through gender-sensitive poverty reduction strategies.

The Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women and the Committee against Torture have also identified child marriage as a harmful practice which leads to the infliction of physical, mental or sexual harm or suffering, with both short- and long-term consequences, and negatively impacts on the capacity of victims to realize the full range of their rights.

Two treaty bodies, the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women and the Committee against Torture, may also, on their own initiative, undertake inquiries into situations of serious, grave or systematic violations of Convention rights in a State party if they have received reliable information.14 In such cases, the treaty body may issue findings and recommendations to the State party concerned.
كما يجوز لهيئتين منشأتين بموجب معاهدات - لجنة القضاء على التمييز ضد المرأة ولجنة مناهضة التعذيب - أن تجريا، من تلقاء أنفسهما، تحقيقات في حالات الانتهاكات الجسيمة أو الخطيرة أو المنهجية للحقوق التي تكفلها الاتفاقية في دولة طرف، إذا تلقيا معلومات موثوقة(14). وفي مثل هذه الحالات، يجوز للهيئة المنشأة بموجب معاهدة أن ترسل استنتاجاتها وتوصياتها إلى الدولة الطرف المعنية.
