The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights addressed the Commission on the Status of Women at its forty-seventh session (3-14 March 2003).

The present report is submitted in accordance with Economic and Social Council resolution 2002/4 on the situation of women and girls in Afghanistan, in which the Council requested the Secretary-General to report to the Commission on the Status of Women at its forty-seventh session, on progress made in the implementation of that resolution.

7. Requests the Secretary-General to continue to review the situation and to assist Palestinian women by all available means, and to submit to the Commission on the Status of Women at its forty-seventh session a report on the progress made in the implementation of the present resolution.
