9. The Secretary-General will continue to review measures to improve the management of works of art in the United Nations and intends to report to the General Assembly at its fifty-second session on any action taken in this regard.

Protection of the rights of authors of works of art in the Republic of Belarus is ensured in accordance with the provisions of the special section IV " Rights of authors and inventors " of the Civil Code of the Republic of Belarus, which is the basic legislation defining the content and scope of the rights of authors, and the protection of those rights.

298. A report on managing works of art in the United Nations and the comments of the Secretary-General thereon (A/48/72 and Add.1) were considered by the General Assembly at its forty-eighth session, as reflected in resolution 48/217 of 23 December 1993.
٢٩٨ - نظرت الجمعية العامة في دورتها الثامنة واﻷربعين في تقرير عن إدارة اﻷعمال الفنية في اﻷمم المتحدة وفي تعليقات اﻷمين العام عليه (A/48/72 and Add.1)، كما يتجلى ذلك في القرار ٤٨/٢١٧ المؤرخ ٢٣ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٣.

1. By its resolution 48/217 of 23 December 1993, entitled " Managing works of art in the United Nations: report of the Joint Inspection Unit " , the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to continue to improve the management of works of art in such a manner as to avoid additional costs to the regular budget of the United Nations with due regard to the quality of services being provided.
١ - طلبت الجمعية العامة إلى اﻷمين العام، بموجب قرارها ٤٨/٢١٧ المؤرخ ٢٣ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣، المعنون " إدارة اﻷعمال الفنية في اﻷمم المتحدة: تقرير وحدة التفتيش المشتركة " ، أن يواصل تحسين إدارة اﻷعمال الفنية، على أن يتلافى تحميل الميزانية العادية لﻷمم المتحدة تكاليف إضافية، مع إيلاء المراعاة الواجبة لنوعية الخدمات المقدمة.
