The report thus supported the assessment needs of that Convention and was welcomed by the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity as well as by the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Both bodies have called for continued cooperation between the two, as well as with IPCC, on issues of common interest and relevance.
