The ISU has consulted with the United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Asia and the Pacific on ways of promoting the universalization of the Convention in the Asia-Pacific region.

The immediate objective of the meetings was to obtain the views of young people in the Asia and Pacific region on health needs and to facilitate a dialogue between youth representatives, Governments and the United Nations system at the regional level as a basis for promoting youth participation in the formulation and implementation of integrated youth health policies and programmes.
وكان الهدف الأولي من الاجتماع الاطلاع على وجهات نظر الشباب في منطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادئ بشأن الاحتياجات الصحية، وتيسير الحوار بين ممثلي الشباب، والحكومات ومنظومة الأمم المتحدة على الصعيد الإقليمي، وذلك كأساس لتعزيز مشاركة الشباب في وضع سياسات وبرامج صحية متكاملة للشباب وتنفيذها.

UNDP launched the Gender and Economic Policy Management Initiative (GEPMI), which in 2010 trained 70 economic planners from Africa and 30 from Asia-Pacific on incorporating gender dimensions into national poverty reduction strategies, economic policies and public finance.
وأطلق البرنامج الإنمائي مبادرة إدارة السياسة العامة في الميدانين الجنساني والاقتصادي التي تولت عام 2010 تدريب 70 مخططاً اقتصادياً من أفريقيا و30 مخططاً اقتصادياً من منطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادئ بشأن إدماج الأبعاد الجنسانية في الاستراتيجيات الوطنية للحد من الفقر والسياسات الاقتصادية والمالية العامة.

They further suggested that the Asia - Pacific Network on Climate Change, linked with the Article 6 clearing house, could be a useful regional partner in achieving this goal.
كما أشاروا إلى أن ربط شبكة آسيا والمحيط الهادئ بشأن تغير المناخ بمركز التنسيق الخاص بالمادة 6 قد يجعل منهما شريكين إقليمين مفيدين لتحقيق هذا الهدف.
