1. The author of the communication dated 7 February 1996 is Alfonso Aponte Guzmán, a Colombian national resident in the United States of America.
1- صاحب البلاغ الذي قُدم بتاريخ 7 شباط/فبراير 1996هو ألفونسو أبونتي غوسمان، وهو مواطن كولومبي يقيم في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.

4.3 The State party denies that it failed to guarantee the Aponte family's life and security, since the document mentioning the author's identity was a purely internal one and thus did not put his life at risk.
4-3 وأنكرت الدولة الطرف أن تكون قد تخلفت عن ضمان حياة أسرة أبونتي وأمنها لأن الوثيقة التي تشير إلى هوية صاحب البلاغ مجرد وثيقة داخلية وبالتالي لا تعرض حياته للخطر.

Mr. Apunte (Ecuador) said that his delegation had voted in favour of the draft resolutions under agenda item 85, since Ecuador's policy had always been based on condemnation of threats of the use of force and occupation of foreign territory.

١٢ - السيد أبونتي )إكوادور(: أعرب عن ارتياحه للتقدم المحرز في اﻷعمال التحضيرية لليونيسبيس الثالث، الذي يعد بإعطاء قوة دفع جديدة للتعاون الدولي في استخدام الفضاء الخارجي في اﻷغراض السلمية.

16. Mr. Apunte (Ecuador) said that in the view of his delegation, peacekeeping operations were one of the basic areas of activity of the United Nations through which the principle of international cooperation in the maintenance of international peace and security was put into practice.
