In that regard, the United Arab Emirates stresses that the 1971 memorandum of understanding did not transfer sovereignty over the island of Abu Musa or any part thereof to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
في هذا الصدد تود دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة أن تؤكد أن مذكرة التفاهم لعام 1971م لم تنقل لجمهورية إيران الإسلامية السيادة على جزيرة أبو موسى أو أي جزء منها.

By the same token, we hope that agreement on the basis of the norms of international law and the behests of good-neighbourliness and respect for the territorial integrity of other States, will be reached in the dispute between the United Arab Emirates and the Islamic Republic of Iran on Abu Moussa and the Greater and Lesser Tumb Islands.
وفي نفس السياق فإننا نأمل أن يتسنى التوصل الى حل للخلاف القائم بين اﻹمارات العربية المتحدة والجمهورية اﻹسلامية اﻹيرانية بخصوص جزر أبو موسى وطنب الكبرى وطنب الصغرى على أساس القانون الدولي وفي إطار احترام مبادئ حسن الجوار والحرمة الترابية.

On page 8 of the said document, which quotes the conclusion of the response of the United Arab Emirates, a baseless claim is made regarding the three Iranian islands situated in the Persian Gulf, namely, Abu Mousa, the Greater Tunb and the Lesser Tunb.
ففي الفقرة 8 من الوثيقة المذكورة، في خاتمة الرد الوارد من الإمارات العربية المتحدة، قُدّم ادعاء باطل بشأن الجزر الإيرانية الثلاث الواقعة في الخليج الفارسي، وهي أبو موسى وطنب الكبرى وطنب الصغرى.
