The first reservation concerns all provisions of the Convention not in accordance with the provisions of the Islamic sharia and legislation in force in the Sultanate of Oman.
يتعلق التحفُّظ الأول بجميع أحكام الاتفاقية التي لا تتفق مع أحكام الشريعة الإسلامية والتشريعات السارية في سلطنة عُمان.

According to the said reservation the Government of Qatar enters a general reservation in respect of any provisions of the Convention that conflict with the provisions of the Islamic Shariah.
وبموجب التحفظ المذكور، تسجل حكومة قطر تحفظاً عاماً على أي أحكام في الاتفاقية تتعارض مع أحكام الشريعة الإسلامية.

Article 15, paragraph 1, in connection with matters of inheritance and testimony, as it is inconsistent with the provisions of Islamic law.
الفقرة 1 من المادة 15، فيما يتصل بمسألتيّ الإرث والشهادة، حيث أنها لا تتفق مع أحكام الشريعة الإسلامية.

ولم يسفر التطبيق العملي ﻷحكام الاتفاقية في مصر، باعتبارها قانونا من قوانين البلاد منذ ٤١/٤/٢٨٩١ وحتى اﻵن، عن وجود ثمة تعارض بين أحكام الشريعة اﻹسلامية وما أوردته الاتفاقية من مبادئ وحقوق متصلة بمجال أعمالها.

The fact that the reservation concerning any interpretation of the provisions of the Convention that is incompatible with the norms of Islamic law does not clearly specify the provisions of the Convention to which it applies and the extent of the derogation therefrom raises doubts as to the commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Convention.
إن التحفظ المتعلق بأي تفسير لأحكام الاتفاقية يتنافى مع أحكام الشريعة الإسلامية لا يحدد بوضوح أحكام الاتفاقية التي ينطبق عليه ومدى الاستثناء منها، مما يثير الشكوك حول التزام المملكة العربية السعودية بالاتفاقية.

The Government of Austria further considers that, in the absence of further clarification, the reservation to articles 2 and 16, which does not clearly specify the extent of Bahrain's derogation from the provisions in question, raises doubts as to the degree of commitment assumed by Bahrain in becoming a party to the Convention since it refers to the contents of Islamic Shariah.
كما ترى حكومة النمسا، أنه في غياب المزيد من الإيضاح، لا يحدد التحفظ على المادتين 2 و 16 بوضوح مدى تحلل البحرين من الأحكام المشار إليها مما يثير الشكوك في درجة الالتزام الذي قطعته البحرين عندما أصبحت طرفا في الاتفاقية نظرا لأنها تشير إلى أحكام الشريعة الإسلامية.

The Government of Malaysia declares that Malaysia’s accession is subject to the understanding that the provisions of the Convention do not conflict with the provisions of the Islamic Shariah law and the federal constitution of Malaysia.
تصرح حكومة ماليزيا أن انضمام ماليزيا مرهون بعدم تعارض أحكام الاتفاقية مع أحكام الشريعة اﻹسلامية ودستور ماليزيا الاتحادي.

“The Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran reserve the rights not to apply any provision or articles of the Convention that are incompatible with Islamic laws and the internal legislation in effect.”
وبموجب التحفظ المذكور، تسجل حكومة قطر تحفظاً عاماً على أي أحكام في الاتفاقية تتعارض مع أحكام الشريعة اﻹسلامية.
