61 - واستطردت قائلة إن الاتحاد الأوروبي يرحّب بتخفيض عدد متأخرات التقارير المطلوب تقديمها، ويودّ أن يعرف ما إذا كانت اللجنة تنظر في تدابير أخرى لتحسين فعاليتها وتحديد أوجه الفعالية في أساليب العمل وتكاليفه؛ وكذلك إلى أي حدٍ تعمل اللجنة مع هيئات أخرى منشأة بمعاهدات ومفوضية حقوق الإنسان في هذا الصدد.

Noting that the Human Rights Committee had taken up the new reporting procedure, he asked whether any other treaty bodies were discussing or using it and also wished to know whether the greater demands made on the Committee by the new procedure would ultimately expedite the submission of country reports and analysis by the Committee.

The Committee is gratified that it continues to attract a wide following within the United Nations system and civil society, including national human rights institutions and non-governmental organizations, and that it has been able to interact with the wider human rights framework, including the Human Rights Council, the special procedures mandate holders and other treaty bodies.
15 - ويسرّ اللجنة أنها تواصل اجتذاب مجموعة واسعة من المؤيدين على مستوى منظومة الأمم المتحدة، والمجتمع المدني، بما في ذلك المؤسسات الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان والمنظمات غير الحكومية، وأنها استطاعت أن تتفاعل مع الإطار الأوسع لحقوق الإنسان، بما يشمل مجلس حقوق الإنسان، والمكلفين بولايات في إطار الإجراءات الخاصة، وهيئات أخرى منشأة بمعاهدات.
