After reviewing the Secretary-General's report (A/57/65), the Committee agreed that Member States should be encouraged to submit multi-year payment plans, which constitute a useful tool for reducing their unpaid assessed contributions and a way for them to demonstrate their commitment to meeting their financial obligations to the United Nations.
17 - بعد أن استعرضت اللجنة تقرير الأمين العام (A/57/65) وافقت على ضرورة تشجيع الدول الأعضاء على تقديم خطط للتسديد متعددة السنوات، لتكون أداة مفيدة لخفض المبالغ غير المسددة من اشتراكاتها المقررة وطريقة تبرهن بها تصميمها على أداء التزاماتها المالية للمنظمة.

The Committee recalled its earlier recommendations concerning multi-year payment plans and reaffirmed its earlier conclusion that multi-year payment plans are a useful tool for reducing Member States' unpaid assessed contributions and a way for them to demonstrate their commitment to meeting their financial obligations to the United Nations.
22 - أشارت اللجنة إلى توصياتها السابقة بشأن خطط التسديد المتعددة السنوات وأكدت من جديد النتيجة التي توصلت إليها سابقا وهي أن خطط التسديد المتعددة السنوات أداة مفيدة لخفض المبالغ غير المسددة من الاشتراكات المقررة للدول الأعضاء وطريقة تبرهن بها هذه الدول على تصميمها على أداء التزاماتها المالية للأمم المتحدة.

After considering the report of the Secretary-General on multi-year payment plans1 at its sixty-second session in 2002,2 the Committee on Contributions agreed that Member States should be encouraged to submit such plans, which constitute a useful tool for reducing their unpaid assessed contributions and a way for them to demonstrate their commitment to meeting their financial obligations to the United Nations.

In this regard, the report of the Committee of Contributions to the General Assembly (sixty-third session, 2-27 June 2003) reaffirmed its earlier conclusion that multi-year payment plans are a useful tool for reducing unpaid assessed contributions and a way for Member States to demonstrate their commitment to meeting their financial obligations.
10- وفي هذا الصدد، كررت لجنة الاشتراكات في تقريرها إلى الجمعية العامة (الدورة الثالثة والستون، 2-27 حزيران/يونيه 2003) النتيجة التي خلصت إليها سابقاً بأن خطط السداد المتعددة السنوات أداة مفيدة لخفض المبالغ غير المسددة من الاشتراكات المقررة على الدول الأعضاء ووسيلة تبرهن هذه الدول من خلالها على تعهدها بالوفاء بالتزاماتها المالية.
