In that context, his delegation supported the proposal submitted by the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya (A/AC.182/L.99), which recognized the need to strengthen the role of the General Assembly, and proposed ways and means of enhancing the relationship between the Assembly and the Security Council on the basis of articles 15 and 24 of the Charter.
