Three weeks ago, when this Assembly considered agenda item 47, entitled “Question of equitable representation on and increase in the membership of the Security Council and related matters”, my delegation pointed out that it was imperative for the Council to introduce new measures and practices in order to improve its working methods and procedures and enhance its relationship with the general membership.
