Expresses its appreciation to the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People for its efforts in performing the tasks assigned to it by the General Assembly, and takes note of its annual report, including the conclusions and recommendations contained in chapter VII thereof;

In light of the above, I should like to request that authorization again be granted to the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People to hold meetings during the forthcoming sixty-third session of the General Assembly, as necessary for carrying out the important mandate entrusted to the Committee by the Assembly.
وفي ضوء ما تقدم، أود أن أطلب منح الإذن مرة أخرى إلى اللجنة المعنية بممارسة الشعب الفلسطيني لحقوقه غير القابلة للتصرف كي تعقد، أثناء الدورة الثالثة والستين المقبلة للجمعية العامة، ما يلزمها من اجتماعات للاضطلاع بالولاية المهمة التي أسندتها إليها الجمعية العامة.

This enabled it to fulfil the mandate entrusted to it by the Assembly and to complete its work effectively and constructively despite time constraints occasioned by the changes in its work schedule.
وقد مكّنها ذلك من إنجاز المهام التي أسندتها إليها الجمعية العامة ومن إنهاء أعمالها بصورة فعالة وبنّاءة على الرغم من القيود الزمنية التي نجمت عن تغييرات في الجدول الزمني لأعمالها.

The latter should fully exercise its functions, powers and responsibilities in accordance with its statute and the mandate conferred on it by the General Assembly.
وينبغي للوحدة ممارسة وظائفها وسلطاتها ومسؤولياتها بالكامل وفقا لنظامها الأساسي وللولاية التي أسندتها إليها الجمعية العامة.

It felt that the subsidiary bodies of the United Nations should be allowed to perform their statutory functions and carry out the specific mandates entrusted to them by the General Assembly, avoiding overlap which, at a time of limited resources, was synonymous with waste.
وترى المجموعة أنه يجب أن يفسح المجال لهيئات اﻷمم المتحدة الفرعية ﻹمكانية الاضطلاع بوظائفها التأسيسية والاضطلاع بولاياتها المحددة التي أسندتها إليها الجمعية العامة وذلك بتجنب تداخل الوظائف الذي يعتبر، في وقت يتسم بندرة الموارد من قبيل التبذير.

At the end of yet another unsuccessful cycle, Member States need to act to restore the important role of the Commission, which may have reached a point at which it needs to consider engaging in a debate regarding its methods of work, in order to ensure that it fulfils its solemn mandates from the General Assembly.
وفي ختام دورة غير ناجحة أخرى، ثمة ضرورة للعمل من أجل استعادة الدور المهم للهيئة، التي ربما بلغت مرحلة تحتاج فيها إلى النظر في الانخراط في مناقشة في ما يتعلق بأساليب عملها، بغية كفالة الوفاء بولاياتها الرسمية التي أسندتها إليها الجمعية العامة.
