وهو يدعو البلدان في المنطقة وخارجها إلى تقديم تبرعات إلى المركز لكفالة استدامة أنشطته وعملياته، ولتمكينه من الوفاء بالولاية التي أسندتها إليه الجمعية العامة.

5. Since my last report, the Council has fulfilled the mandate entrusted to it by the General Assembly by adopting in resolution 5/1 its land-mark agreement on institution-building on 18 June 2007, one year after its inaugural meeting.

It is the view of CEB member organizations that the existing structure, composition and dual location of the CEB secretariat constitute the most efficient and cost-effective arrangement to support the Board in fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to it by the General Assembly and the Economic and Social Council.
19 - وترى المنظمات الأعضاء في المجلس أن الهيكل الحالي لأمانة المجلس وتكوينه وعمله في موقعين هي الترتيب الأكثر كفاءة وفعالية من حيث الكلفة لمساعدة المجلس على الوفاء بالمسؤوليات التي أسندتها إليه الجمعية العامة والمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي.
