21. During the period under review, the Special Rapporteur continued to support the mainstreaming of the human rights of internally displaced persons within the United Nations system and the wider humanitarian community by participating actively in the work of the Inter-Agency Standing Committee.

16. The Task Force on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, which was established jointly in 2005 by the Executive Committee on Humanitarian Affairs and the Executive Committee on Peace and Security, was an outgrowth of the work of the Inter-Agency Standing Committee on the issue.
