ويتعين أن يكون ازدهار جميع أفراد الأسرة البشرية ورغد عيشهم هو الهدف من التنمية المستدامة.

إن حقوق الإنسان لجميع أفراد الأسرة البشرية دون استثناء أمر مسلَّم به منذ عام 1948 في الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان بما في ذلك الحق في الحياة لكل فرد.

Among other things, therefore, the proposed international declaratory instrument should encourage States to develop a legislative framework along such lines, one that would enable everyone - including the poorest - to exercise their human rights effectively in a spirit of respect for the equal dignity of all members of the human family.

Equally, it must no longer escape our attention that the failure to provide for all members of the human family is also directly connected to humanity's collective erosion of values and represents a lack of attention and consideration for human values in the decision-making process about development and sustainability.
وبالمثل، يجب ألا يغيب عن بالنا أن عدم التمكن من توفير الغذاء لجميع أفراد الأسرة البشرية يرتبط أيضاً ارتباطاً مباشراً بتآكل قيم البشرية الجماعية ويمثل عدم اهتمام واعتبار للقيم الإنسانية في عملية صنع القرار حول التنمية والاستدامة.

The preamble to the Constitution which reflects the aspirations of the people proclaims the `inherent dignity and the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family as the foundation for freedom, justice, welfare, fraternity, peace and unity'and reaffirms that these rights include the `rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness free from all types of discrimination.'
وتعبر ديباجة الدستور عن أماني الشعب قائلة `إن الكرامة المتأصلة في جميع أفراد الأسرة البشرية وحقوقها المتساوية وغير القابلة للتصرف هي أساس الحرية والعدالة والرفاه، والإخاء والسلام، والوحدة` وتؤكد من جديد أن هذه الحقوق تتضمن `الحق في الحياة، والحرية، والبحث عن السعادة دون أي نوع من التمييز`.

The first and most fundamental meaning is " recognition " in the sense of the due respect for the status of all human beings as rights holders in the area of freedom of religion or belief, a status finally deriving from the inherent dignity of all members of the human family.
22- والمعنى الأول والأهم هو " الاعتراف " بمعنى الاحترام الواجب لوضع جميع البشر بوصفهم أصحاب حقوق في مجال حرية الدين أو المعتقد، وهو وضع ينبع في نهاية المطاف من الكرامة المتأصلة في جميع أفراد الأسرة البشرية.

From the point of view of normative universalism, however, such limitations are problematic, as the right holders are " all members of the human family " whose most diverse self-understandings in the area of religion or belief constitute the starting point for the conceptualization and implementation of freedom of religion or belief as a universal human right.
ولكن هذه القيود تنطوي على إشكالية، من وجهة نظر العالمية المعيارية، إذ إن أصحاب الحقوق هم " جميع أفراد الأسرة البشرية " الذين يشكل أقصى تنوع في أوجه فهمهم الذاتي في مجال الدين أو المعتقد نقطة الانطلاق لوضع الإطار المفاهيمي وتنفيذ حرية الدين أو المعتقد كحق من حقوق الإنسان العالمية.
