وفي هذا الصدد، يود وفد بلدي أن يرحب ببدء نفاذ معاهدة بليندابا التي تجعل من أفريقيا منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية.

First and foremost, I would like to say that Africa appreciates all the congratulatory messages addressed to it on the occasion of the entry into force of the Treaty of Pelindaba, which has now made the whole territory of Africa a nuclear-weapon-free zone.
أولا وقبل كل شيء، أود أن أقول إن أفريقيا تقدّر جميع رسائل التهنئة التي وجِّهت إليها بمناسبة بدء نفاذ معاهدة بليندابا، التي جعلت كامل أراضي أفريقيا منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية.

114. Regarding the efforts to combat nuclear proliferation, the first Conference of the Parties to the Pelindaba Treaty making Africa a nuclear-weapon-free zone was held on 4 November in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
114 - وفيما يتعلق بمكافحة انتشار الأسلحة النووية، عُقد المؤتمر الأول للدول الأطراف في معاهدة بليندابا التي تنص على جعل أفريقيا منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية في 4 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر في أديس أبابا بإثيوبيا.

The Libyan Arab Jamahiriya emphasizes that, as a party to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), it has signed the African Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone Treaty -- the Pelindaba Treaty.
وقد أكدت بلادي على ذلك حيث أنها طرف في معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية، ووقعت على معاهدة بليندابا لجعل أفريقيا منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية.

Since then, progress has been made on establishing a nuclear-weapon-free zone in Africa following the successful conclusion of the 1996 signing ceremony in Egypt of the African Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone Treaty.

In this connection, I would like to applaud the signing of the Pelindaba Treaty in Cairo on 11 April 1996, which established Africa as a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone.
وأود في هذه المناسبة أن أشيد بالتوقيع على معاهدة إعلان أفريقيا منطقة خالية من اﻷسلحة النووية والتي أبرمت بالقاهرة في ١١ نيسان/ أبريل ١٩٩٦.

In that connection, Cameroon welcomed the progress made towards the conclusion of a treaty on the Denuclearization of Africa.
وأعرب عن ترحيب الكاميرون بالتقدم المحرز في مجال إبرام معاهدة لاعتبار أفريقيا منطقة خالية من اﻷسلحة النووية.

As a demonstration of this commitment, and her strong belief in a nuclear-free world, she had concluded safeguards agreement with IAEA and ratified the Treaty of Pelindaba on the African Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone.
ومما يثبت التزامها هذا، وإيمانها القوي بإمكانية قيام عالم خال من الأسلحة النووية، أنها أبرمت اتفاق ضمانات مع الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية وصدقت على معاهدة بيليندابا بشأن إعلان أفريقيا منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية.

He welcomed the entry into force of the African Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone Treaty and urged the United States and the Russian Federation to sign and ratify the respective protocols of that Treaty and to work with other signatories to ensure that Africa remained a nuclear-weapon-free zone.
وقال إنه يرحّب بدخول المعاهدة الخاصة بوجود منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية في أفريقيا حيز النفاذ، ويحثّ الولايات المتحدة والاتحاد الروسي على التوقيع على البروتوكولات المختصة بهذه المعاهدة والتصديق عليها والعمل مع دول أخرى موقِّعة على المعاهدة لضمان أن تظل أفريقيا منطقة خالية من الأسلحة النووية.

Kenya therefore supports the Declaration on the Denuclearization of Africa.
