In its resolution 57/215, entitled " Question of enforced or involuntary disappearances " , the General Assembly reaffirmed that any act of enforced disappearance is an offence to human dignity and a grave and flagrant violation of the human rights and fundamental freedoms proclaimed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

In resolution 2625 (XXV) of 1970, the General Assembly reaffirmed the illegality of the acquisition of territory by the threat or the use of force, as well as the inherent right of all peoples to self-determination.

At its sixtieth session, in its resolution 60/144, the General Assembly reaffirmed that the Commission on Human Rights, as a functional commission of the Council, shall have a central role in the monitoring of the implementation of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action with the United Nations system and in advising the Council thereon.
أكدت الجمعية العامة مجددا في دورتها الستين، بقرارها 60/144 ، على أن يكون للجنة حقوق الإنسان، بصفتها إحدى اللجان الفنية للمجلس، دور رئيسي في رصد تنفيذ إعلان وبرنامج عمل ديربان داخل منظومة الأمم المتحدة وفي تقديم المشورة إلى المجلس في هذا الشأن.

1. In resolution 64/135, the General Assembly reaffirmed the primary responsibility of the Commission for Social Development for the follow-up and review of the World Summit for Social Development and the outcome of the twenty-fourth special session of the General Assembly.
1 - في القرار 64/135، أكدت الجمعية العامة مجددا المسؤولية الرئيسية للجنة التنمية الاجتماعية عن متابعة واستعراض نتائج مؤتمر القمة العالمي للتنمية الاجتماعية ونتائج دورة الجمعية العامة الاستثنائية الرابعة والعشرين.

At the same session, the General Assembly reaffirmed the prerogatives of the funds and programmes to decide their own oversight mechanisms and their relationship with the Office of Internal Oversight Services, and requested the Secretary-General to submit to it recommendations of the Office that required its approval prior to their implementation (resolution 57/287 B).

In paragraph 58 of that resolution, the General Assembly reaffirmed that the governing bodies of the specialized agencies should take appropriate action for the full implementation of that resolution and requested the respective executive heads to submit a yearly progress report to their governing bodies on measures taken and envisaged for its implementation, as well as appropriate recommendations.

39. In paragraph 10 of resolution 51/176, the General Assembly reiterated that the Commission on Population and Development has the primary responsibility for monitoring, reviewing and assessing the implementation of the Programme of Action.
٣٩ - في الفقرة ١٠ من القرار ٥١/١٧٦، أكدت الجمعية العامة مجددا أن لجنة السكان والتنمية تتحمل المسؤولية اﻷولية عن رصد واستعراض وتقييم تنفيذ برنامج العمل.

In the following year, the General Assembly reiterated its request to the Secretary-General to establish a regular interagency coordination mechanism on oceans and coastal issues within the United Nations system inasmuch as the Subcommittee on Oceans and Coastal Areas had been abolished.
وفي العام التالي، أكدت الجمعية العامة مجددا طلبها إلى الأمين العام إنشاء آلية منتظمة ومشتركة بين الوكالات لتنسيق المسائل المتعلقة بالمحيطات والسواحل داخل منظومة الأمم المتحدة، ما دامت اللجنة الفرعية المعنية بالمحيطات والمناطق الساحلية قد ألغيت().

In that resolution, the Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to the Strategy and its implementation, and requested the Secretary-General to submit to it, at its sixty-sixth session, a report on progress made in the implementation of the Strategy, which could contain suggestions for its future implementation by the United Nations system, as well as in the implementation of the resolution.
وفي ذلك القرار أكدت الجمعية العامة مجددا التزامها بالاستراتيجية وتطبيقِها، وطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يقدم إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها السادسة والستين تقريرا عن التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ الاستراتيجية وفي تنفيذ القرار، يمكن أن يتضمن اقتراحات تنفذها منظومة الأمم المتحدة مستقبلا.
