The text recalled paragraph 5 of that resolution, in which the General Assembly had requested the Economic and Social Council to re-examine the issue after the Beijing Conference on Women, and reflected the fact that the Commission on the Status of Women had expressed no opinion on the matter.

١١ - إن سلوفينيا ترى أن لجنة مركز المرأة ينبغي أن تكون الهيئة الحكومية الدولية المركزية المكلفة بمتابعة تنفيذ إعلان وبرنامج عمل بيجين وأنه يتعين إعادة النظر في ولايتها وتعزيزها بغية تنسيقها مع ولايات اللجان التقنية اﻷخرى.

٢٨ - وفي القرار ١٩٩٣/١١، أكد المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي من جديد أن لجنة مركز المرأة مخولة تقديم توصيات إلى المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي فيما يتعلق باﻹجراء الواجب اتخاذه بشأن الاتجاهات واﻷنماط المستجدة في التمييز ضد المرأة والتي تكشفها هذه الرسائل.
