At the outset, I would like to thank the Secretary-General and congratulate the staff of the Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea for their complete and very instructive reports on oceans and the law of the sea and the viability of fishing, which give us a complete picture of recent developments in the situation regarding those subjects.
