Juračić and the Chairman of the Editorial Committee presented a basic draft combining the existing documents CLCS/L.3 and CLCS/L.12, and also drawing elements from the basic work of the Secretariat.

Mr. Awosika, Chair, informed the Commission about the plenary meetings of the General Assembly, held on 10 December 2012, in commemoration of the thirtieth anniversary of the opening for signature of the Convention, pursuant to General Assembly resolutions 66/231 and 67/5, and on deliberations by the Assembly on matters pertaining to oceans and the law of the sea, relevant to the work of the Commission.
46 - أطْلعَ الرئيس السيد أوسيكا اللجنة على وقائع الجلسات العامة للجمعية العامة، المعقودة في 10 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2012، احتفالا بالذكرى السنوية الثلاثين لفتح باب التوقيع على الاتفاقية، عملا بقراري الجمعية العامة 66/231 و 67/5، وعلى مداولات الجمعية بشأن المسائل المتعلقة بالمحيطات وقانون البحار، ذات الصلة بعمل اللجنة.

For that purpose, the Commission decided to establish an open-ended working group under the chairmanship of Mr. Awosika (members: Messrs Albuquerque, Beltagy, Betah, Brekke, Carrera, Chan Chim Yuk, Francis, Hamuro, Hinz, Jaafar, Lu, Park and Srinivasan) which would prepare, during the inter-sessional period, a draft proposal concerning training to be submitted to the Commission at its next session.
وقررت اللجنة في هذا الصدد أن تنشئ فريقا عاملا مفتوح العضوية برئاسة السيد أوسيكا )وعضوية السادة الباكيركي، والبلتاجي. وبيتا، وبريك، وكاريرا، وشان شيم يوك، وفرنسيس، وهامورو، وهيمز، وجعفر، ولوك، وبارك، وسريفينيسان( سيقوم خلال الفترة الفاصلة بين الدورتين بإعداد مشروع مقترح يتعلق بالتدريب ويقدم إلى اللجنة في دورتها القادمة.
