59. With regard to journalists and human rights defenders, the delegation said that Cameroon had some 60 radio stations and 20 television channels, which allowed free debate, and about a hundred private newspapers.
59- وفيما يخص الصحفيين والمدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان، أوضح الوفد أن في الكاميرون حوالي ستين محطة إذاعية وحوالي عشرين قناة تلفزيونية، يدور فيها النقاش بحرية، وحوالي مائة جريدة خاصة.

61. Regarding the right of association, the delegation noted that provisions were in place for all to express and organize freely.
61- وفيما يخص الحق في التجمع، أوضح الوفد أن هناك أحكاماً تسمح لكل فرد بالتعبير والتنظيم بحرية وبالتظاهر.

In response to the questions raised regarding freedom of religion, the delegation explained that the Bhutanese people had the freedom to embrace and practise any religion of their choosing.
113- ورداً على الأسئلة التي طُرِحت بشأن حرية الدين، أوضح الوفد أن شعب بوتان حر في اعتناق وممارسة أي دين يختاره.

Regarding the latter, the delegation explained that the confusion arose because Rwanda had put in place special prisons for the transfer of detainees from the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.
وفيما يتعلق بهذه المسألة الأخيرة، أوضح الوفد أن اللبس نتج عن كون رواندا أنشأت سجوناً خاصة لنقل المحتجزين من المحكمة الجنائية الدولية لرواندا.

Replying to the issues of asylum-seeker procedures the delegation explained that the Finnish Government and the Parliament are of the view that Finnish asylum procedures do comply with the requirements set by international obligations.

22. On the death penalty, the delegation explained that there are no plans to abolish capital punishment or impose a moratorium on its application.
22- وبشأن عقوبة الإعدام، أوضح الوفد أن لا وجود لنية إلغاء عقوبة الإعدام أو فرض وقف اختياري لتطبيقها.

In response to the question raised by Turkey, the delegation explained that the Working Group for the Integration of Muslims was an initiative of the Government, and also comprises Muslims, ensuring equal representation as from the Government side.
ورداً على سؤال لتركيا، أوضح الوفد أن إنشاء الفريق العامل المعني بإدماج المسلمين كان مبادرة من الحكومة، وهو يضم مسلمين أيضاً بما يضمن تمثيلاً مكافئاً لتمثيل الجانب الحكومي.

94. Concerning the implementation of the recommendations of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the delegation explained that Belarus was not a member of the Council.

29. On the questions about freedom of expression and the rights of human rights defenders, the delegation explained that the South African democracy has been founded on the struggle of human rights defenders.
29- ورداً على الأسئلة المتعلقة بحرية التعبير وحقوق المدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان، أوضح الوفد أن ديمقراطية جنوب أفريقيا قامت بفضل نضال المدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان.

In reply to questions from the United Kingdom, the Czech Republicand Germany on the issue of equal opportunities and gender equality, the delegation indicated that the Law on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men was adopted in 2006.
18- ورداً على أسئلة المملكة المتحدة والجمهورية التشيكية وألمانيا المتعلقة بمسألة تساوي الفرص والمساواة بين الجنسين، أوضح الوفد أن قانون تساوي الفرص بين الرجل والمرأة اعتمد في عام 2006.

On the issue of disability, the delegation indicated that the Government had achieved the modernization of the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, eliminating the welfare approach of previous legislation.
103- وفيما يتعلق بمسألة الإعاقة، أوضح الوفد أن الحكومة استكملت عملية تحديث القانون المتعلق بحقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، ولغت بذلك نهج الرفاه الذي كان يتبع في التشريع السابق.

86. With regard to the issue raised by Hungary relating to the treatment of persons deprived of their liberty, the delegation clarified that convicted persons were always held separate from those awaiting trial.
86- وفيما يتعلق بمسألة معاملة الأشخاص المحرومين من حريتهم، والتي أثارتها هنغاريا، أوضح الوفد أن الأشخاص المدانين يُحتجزون دائماً بمعزل عمَّن ينتظرون المحاكمة.

Concerning questions raised about refugees, including from Zimbabwe, it was explained that the legislation on refugees was not nationality-specific.
وفيما يتعلق بالأسئلة المتعلقة باللاجئين، بمن فيهم اللاجئون من زمبابوي، أوضح الوفد أن القانون المتعلق باللاجئين لا يميز بين الجنسيات.

108. Lastly, regarding the strengthening of the judiciary, the delegation said that, in 2012, the Government of Burkina Faso had undertaken a review of legislation on the status of the judiciary and on the organization, composition and operation of the Higher Council of the Judiciary.
108- وفي الختام، وفي إطار تعزيز استقلال القضاء، أوضح الوفد أن حكومة بوركينا فاسو قد بدأت في خلال عام 2012 إعادة قراءة النصوص المتعلقة، على التوالي، بمركز هيئة القضاة وبتنظيم المجلس الأعلى للقضاء وتشكيله وتسيير أعماله.

With regard to the right to health, the delegation noted that the Gambia offered health services to the public at a very affordable flat fee for consultation and prescription medicine.
9- وفيما يتعلق بالحق في الصحة، أوضح الوفد أن غامبيا تقدم الخدمات الصحية للجمهور بأسعار موحدة ومعقولة للغاية تغطي الاستشارة الطبية والدواء المشمول بوصفة طبية.

The situation in the judiciary was more positive, and the delegation had indicated that the trend was towards greater representation, but historic trends were often slow and the Government must take special measures, either legislative or political, to involve women more actively in public life.
والوضع في القضاء أكثر ان ايجابية، وقد أوضح الوفد أن هناك اتجاها إلى مزيد من التمثيل، ولكن الاتجاهات بطيئة تاريخيا ويتعين على الحكومة اتخاذ تدابير خاصة، تشريعية أو سياسية، لإشراك النساء بشكل أكثر نشاطا في الحياة العامة.
