At the same meeting, the General Assembly also appointed Mr. Takeshi Ohta to fill the remainder of a three-year term of office expiring on 31 December 1996.
وفي الجلسة نفسها، عينت الجمعية العامة أيضا السيد تاكيشي أوهتا لشغل ما تبقى من فترة الثلاث سنوات التى تنتهي في ٣١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٦.

8. Ms. Bovich (United States of America), Mr. Ohta (Japan) and Mr. Stormonth Darling (United Kingdom) were recommended for appointment to the Investments Committee.
8 - وأوصي بتعيين السيدة بوفيتش (الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية)، والسيد أوهتا (اليابان)، والسيد ستورمانث دارلينغ (المملكة المتحدة) في لجنة الاستثمارات.

B. Membership of the Investments Committee 84. The Board noted the intention of the Secretary-General to reappoint Ms. F. Bovich and Messrs. T. Ohta and P. Stormonth Darling as members of the Investments Committee for additional three-year terms beginning 1 January 2003.
84 - أحاط المجلس علما باعتزام الأمين العام إعادة تعيين السيدة ف. بوفيتش والسيدين ت. أوهتا و ب. ستورمونث دارلنغ أعضاء في لجنة الاستثمارات لفترة أخرى مدتها ثلاث سنوات اعتبارا من 1 كانون الثاني/يناير 2003.

The Committee further decided, by acclamation, to recommend that the General Assembly confirm the appointment by the Secretary-General of Mr. Takeshi Ohta (Japan) to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Mr. Michiya Matsukawa (Japan) ending on 31 December 1996.
وقــررت اللجنــة أيضــا، بالتزكية، أن توصي بأن تقر الجمعية العامــة تعيين اﻷمين العــــام للسيد تاكيشي أوهتا )اليابان( لمـــلء الشاغر التي أحدثته استقالة السيد ميشيا ماتسوكاو )اليابان( حتى ١٣ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٦.

The General Assembly, as recommended by the Fifth Committee in paragraph 5 of its report (A/57/607), appointed the following persons as members of the Investments Committee for a three-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2003: Ms. Francine Bovich (United States of America), Mr. Takeshi Ohta (Japan) and Mr. Peter Stormonth-Darling (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland).
عينت الجمعية العامة، حسب ما أوصت به اللجنة الخامسة في الفقرة 5 من تقريرها (A/57/607)، الأشخاص التالية أسماؤهم أعضاء في لجنة الاستثمارات لفترة عضوية مدتها ثلاث سنوات تبدأ في 1 كانون الثاني/يناير 2003: السيدة فرانسين بوفيتش (الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية)، والسيد تاكيشي أوهتا (اليابان)، والسيد بيتر ستورمونث - دارلنغ (المملكة المتحدة لبريطانيا العظمى وأيرلندا الشمالية).

4. At the same meeting, the Fifth Committee decided, by acclamation, to recommend to the General Assembly that it confirm the appointment of Francine J. Bovich (United States of America), Takeshi Ohta (Japan) and Peter Stormonth-Darling (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) as members of the Investments Committee for a three-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2003 (see para. 5).
4 - وفي الجلسة ذاتها، قررت اللجنة الخامسة، بالتزكية، أن توصي الجمعية العامة بإقرار تعيين تاكشي أوهتا (اليابان) وفرانسين ج. بوفيتش (الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية) وبيتر ستورمونث - دارلنغ (المملكة المتحدة لبريطانيا العظمى وأيرلندا الشمالية) أعضــــاء في لجنة الاستثمارات لفترة عضوية مدتها ثلاث سنوات تبدأ في 1 كانون الثاني/يناير 2003 (انظر الفقرة 5).
