٧٣ - ويجدر باﻹشارة تراجع الدعم الذي تقدمه البلدان الصناعية لتمويل اﻷنشطة التنفيذية لﻷمم المتحدة، وهي حالة تتناقض مع ما يدلي به المانحون من تصريحات متكررة تَعِد بدعم اﻷمــم المتحـدة فـي أهدافها اﻹنمائية، بل وتناقضها أكثر من ذلك اﻹرادة المتجددة للبلدان النامية لتحسين إدارة اﻷنشطة التنفيذية من جميع جوانبها.

6. Requests the Secretary-General, in consultation with the United Nations System Chief Executives Board for Coordination, to propose to the General Assembly, at its sixty-fourth session, actionable proposals for the further improvement of the governance of the operational activities for development;

11. Requests the Administrator of UNDP and the Executive Director of UNFPA to submit, for consideration and approval by the Executive Board at its first regular session 2008, an oversight policy that also defines the concepts of accountability and transparency as well as disclosure and confidentiality in the management of the operational activities of UNDP, UNFPA and UNOPS.

The adoption of General Assembly resolution 64/289 on system-wide coherence would help to further strengthen the governance of operational activities for development by improving funding mechanisms for operational programmes and institutional arrangements for gender equality and women's empowerment.

4.
