فالقتل العمد أو إحداث إصابات بدنية خطيرة عن قصد يعتبر انتهاكا خطيرا للمادة ٧٤١ من الاتفاقية.

With the intent to cause death or serious bodily injury, or serious harm to the health of a person; or
)أ١(* بقصد إزهاق روح شخص ما أو إحداث إصابات بدنية خطيرة به، أو اﻹضرار بصحته بصورة بالغة؛ أو

(b) Is intended to cause death or serious bodily injury to one or more members of the general population or segments of it; or
(ب) يهدف إلى التسبب في وفاة أو في إصابات بدنية خطيرة لواحد أو أكثر من عامة السكان أو من شرائح منهم؛ أو

(a) Death or serious bodily injury to any person; or

22. The number of domestic violence cases within the period 2009/10 has escalated to alarming proportions and the nature of the attacks has become more violent, resulting in serious physical injuries.
22 - وقد تصاعد عدد حالات العنف العائلي في الفترة 2009/2010 إلى نسب مفزعة وأصبحت طبيعة الاعتداءات أكثر عنفا، وتُحدث إصابات بدنية خطيرة.

(a2)* With the intent to cause death or serious bodily injury among the public or serious harm to the public health; or
)أ٢(* بقصد إزهاق اﻷرواح أو إحداث إصابات بدنية خطيرة في صفوف الجمهور، أو اﻹضرار بصورة بالغة بالصحة العامة؛ أو

(b) Under circumstances which indicate that the person knew or should have known that his conduct would create a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.
)ب( أو في ظروف تشير إلى أن هذا الشخص كان يعلم، أو يُفترض أنه يعلم أن ثمة خطرا كبيرا في أن يؤدي فعله إلى إزهاق اﻷرواح أو حدوث إصابات بدنية خطيرة.

(c) Under circumstances which indicate that the person knew or should have known that his conduct would create a substantial risk of death, serious bodily injury or serious disruption of economic and social life.
)ج( في ظروف تشير الى أن هذا الشخص كان يعلم، أو كان ينبغي أن يعلم أن فعله سيوجد خطرا كبيرا يؤدي الى إزهاق اﻷرواح أو حدوث إصابات بدنية خطيرة أو تعطيل خطير للحياة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية.

(b) A weapon or device that is designed, or has the capability, to cause death, serious bodily injury or substantial material damage through the release, dissemination or impact of toxic chemicals, biological agents or toxins or similar substances or radiation or radioactive material.
)ب( أي سلاح أو جهاز مصمم ﻹزهاق اﻷرواح أو لديه القدرة على إزهاقها أو ﻹحداث إصابات بدنية خطيرة أو أضرار مادية جسيمة نتيجة إطلاق أو نشر أو تأثير المواد الكيميائية السامة، أو العوامل البيولوجية أو التكسينات، أو المواد المماثلة أو اﻹشعاع أو المواد المشعة.

(b) An act designed to cause death or serious bodily injury, in a situation of armed conflict, to civilians, and, in other situations, to any person, when, by its nature or context, such act constitutes a means of intimidating a Government, any other institution or entity or the civilian population.
)ب( عمل يستهدف إزهاق اﻷرواح أو إحداث إصابات بدنية خطيرة للمدنيين، في حالات الصراع المسلح، أو ﻷي شخص في الحالات اﻷخرى، حين يشكل مثل هذا العمل، بطبيعته أو سياقه، وسيلة لترهيب حكومة أو أية مؤسسة أو كيان آخر أو السكان المدنيين.

(b) An act designed to cause death or serious bodily injury, in a situation of armed conflict, to civilians, and, in other situations, to any person, when, by its nature or context, such act constitutes a means of intimidating a Government, any other institution or entity or the civilian population.
)ب( عمل يستهدف إزهاق اﻷرواح أو إحداث إصابات بدنية خطيرة للمدنيين، في حالات الصراع المسلح، أو ﻷي شخص في الحالات اﻷخرى، حين يشكل مثل هذا العمل، بطبيعته أو سياقه، وسيلة لترهيب حكومة أو أية مؤسسة أو كيان آخر أو السكان المدنيين. ــ ــ ــ ــ ــ

(c) To threaten to cause death or serious bodily injury [among the public], or serious harm to the health of a person [to the public health], or to cause substantial damage to property or the environment in order to compel a natural or legal person, international organization or State to do or to refrain from doing any act.
)ج( للتهديد بإزهاق روح شخص ما أو بإحداث إصابات بدنية خطيرة به ]بين عامة الجمهور[، أو اﻹضرار بصورة بالغة بصحته ]بالصحة العامة[، أو إلحاق ضرر جسيم بالممتلكات أو البيئة بغية إجبار شخص طبيعي أو اعتباري، أو منظمة دولية، أو دولة على القيام بأي فعل أو الامتناع عنه.

(3) An offence involving use of firearms, weapons, explosives and dangerous substances when used as a means to perpetrate indiscriminate violence involving death or serious bodily injury to persons or groups of persons or populations or serious damage to property.]
)٣( جريمة تنطوي على استخدام اﻷسلحة النارية واﻷسلحة والمتفجرات والمواد الخطرة متى استخدمت كوسيلة لارتكاب العنف دون تمييز مما ينطوي على التسبب في وفاة أشخاص أو جماعات من اﻷشخاص أو السكان أو في إحداث إصابات بدنية خطيرة لهم أو إلحاق ضرر خطير بالممتلكات.[
