43- يعتبر نشاط مشروع من مشاريع آلية التنمية النظيفة إضافياً إذا خفضت انبعاثات غازات الدفيئة البشرية المنشأ حسب المصادر، دون تلك التي كانت ستحدث في غياب نشاط المشروع المسجل من مشاريع آلية التنمية النظيفة.

A small-scale afforestation or reforestation project activity under the CDM is additional if the actual net greenhouse gas removals by sinks are increased above the sum of the changes in carbon stocks in the carbon pools within the project boundary that would have occurred in the absence of the registered small-scale afforestation or reforestation project activity under the CDM.
18- ويكون نشاط المشروع الصغير للتحريج أو إعادة التحريج نشاطاً إضافياً إذا زاد الصافي الفعلي لإزالة غازات الدفيئة بواسطة المصارف على مجموع التغيرات التي كانت ستحدث في مخزونات الكربون الموجودة في مجمعات الكربون داخل حدود المشروع، في حالة عدم وجود نشاط المشروع الصغير للتحريج أو إعادة التحريج في إطار آلية التنمية النظيفة.

The modalities and procedures for the CDM, in paragraph 43, stipulate that: " A CDM project activity is additional if anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases by sources are reduced below those that would have occurred in the absence of the registered CDM project activity. "

A CDM afforestation or reforestation project activity is additional if net anthropogenic greenhouse gas removals by sinks are increased above those that would have occurred in the absence of the registered CDM afforestation or reforestation project activity[, and it goes beyond institutional and regulatory requirements and common practice in the region].
22- يعتبر نشاط مشروع التحريج أو إعادة التحريج في إطار آلية التنمية النظيفة نشاطاً إضافياً إذا زاد صافي انبعاثات غازات الدفيئة بشرية المنشأ بواسطة المصارف عن الإزالة التي تقع في حال غياب نشاط المشروع المسجل للتحريج أو إعادة التحريج في إطار آلية التنمية النظيفة [، وتجاوز الشروط المؤسسية والإشرافية والممارسة الشائعة في المنطقة].
