At the start of the project, most of the targeted households were able to feed themselves for only 3 to 9 months of the year, but now they are able to handle their food insecurity problem by accessing food for 10 to 12 months of the year by means of year-round irrigation, crop diversification, and animal husbandry, consuming agro-products as well as selling them to buy additional food grain.
