The SBI expressed its gratitude to the CGE for its reports and for its significant contribution to improving the process of preparation of national communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention.

The current UNFCCC " Guidelines for the preparation of national communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention " (hereinafter referred to as the guidelines) need to be updated to reflect the advancements made in the science of climate change and to include the use of scenarios;
