In previous reports, the Security Council has been called upon to establish a trust fund for victims of crimes falling within the Tribunal's jurisdiction, considering the legal bases for such compensation, including the Declaration of Basic Principles of Justice for Victims of Crime and Abuse of Power and General Assembly resolution 40/34 of 29 November 1985.
