5. Welcomes also the intention of the Secretary-General to review the concept of the operations of the Base and requests him, as part of that review, to fully consider the observations and recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions and report thereon to the General Assembly as soon as possible during its fifty-fifth session;

Recalling paragraph 3 of section III.C of its resolution 51/226 of 3 April 1997, in which it requested the Secretary-General to develop a family leave programme for United Nations staff without creating supplementary leave entitlements and to report thereon to the General Assembly as soon as possible,
إذ تشير إلى الفقرة ٣ من الجزء الثالث - جيم من قرارها ٥١/٢٢٦ المؤرخ ٣ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٧، الذي طلبت بموجبه من اﻷمين العام أن يضع برنامج إجازة عائلية لموظفي اﻷمم المتحدة دون إنشاء استحقاقات إضافية من اﻹجازات وأن يقدم إلى الجمعية العامة تقريرا عن ذلك في أقرب موعد ممكن،

Requests the Secretary-General to develop a comprehensive policy on the use of retirees that includes appropriate internal controls to ensure that the compensation received by those retirees does not exceed the existing cap on those payments and to report thereon to the General Assembly at its fifty-first session;
٣ - تطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يضع سياسة شاملة لاستخدام المتقاعدين، تتضمن الضوابط الداخلية الملائمة لكفالة عدم تجاوز اﻷجور التي يتقاضاها هؤلاء المتقاعدون الحد اﻷقصى المحدد حاليا لهذه المدفوعات، وأن يقدم إلى الجمعية العامة تقريرا عن ذلك في دورتها الحادية والخمسين؛

The Secretary-General was requested to monitor the application of the performance appraisal system and to report thereon to the Assembly.
وطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يرصد تطبيق نظام تقييم اﻷداء وأن يقدم إلى الجمعية العامة تقريرا عن ذلك.

Recognizes that mandate and operational changes may lead to variances in budget implementation, and requests the Secretary-General to take further steps towards improving budget assumptions and forecasts and to report thereon to the General Assembly at the second part of its resumed sixty-second session;

18. Endorses the recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions as contained in paragraph 12 of its report,2 and requests the Secretary-General to report thereon to the General Assembly under the relevant agenda items, as well as on an overview of the status of implementation of the provisions of the present resolution, as appropriate.
18 - تؤيد توصيات اللجنة الاستشارية لشؤون الإدارة والميزانية، كما ترد في الفقرة 12 من تقريرها(2)، وتطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يقدم إلى الجمعية العامة تقريرا عن ذلك في إطار بنود جدول الأعمال ذات الصلة، بالإضافة إلى تقديم عرض عام لحالة تنفيذ أحكام هذا القرار، حسب الاقتضاء.

Reaffirms the need for the Secretary-General to use, to the fullest extent, the staff-management consultative mechanisms set out in staff rule 108.2 and to strengthen the staff-management dialogue in the United Nations and all of its funds and programmes, and requests him to report thereon to the General Assembly at its fifty-third session;

21. Requests the Secretary-General to review the designation of posts in the radio and website management sections of the Department of Public Information to consider whether they should be treated as language posts and to report thereon to the General Assembly at its sixty-second session for its consideration, including on the possible human resources, administrative and financial implications;
21 - تطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يستعرض تسمية الوظائف في قسمي الإذاعة وإدارة الموقع على الإنترنت التابعين لإدارة شؤون الإعلام لبحث ما إذا كان ينبغي معاملتها على أنها وظائف لغوية وأن يقدم إلى الجمعية العامة تقريرا عن ذلك في دورتها الثانية والستين لتنظر فيه، بما في ذلك عن الآثار المحتملة المتعلقة بالموارد البشرية والآثار الإدارية والمالية؛
