Several delegations welcomed the decision of the Government of Jamaica to allocate funds for the refurbishment of the headquarters of the Authority and the Jamaica Conference Centre, as well as the activities of the secretariat of the Authority undertaken with a view to drawing the attention of the donor community to the Endowment Fund for Marine Scientific Research.
