وأشارت الورقة أيضاً إلى أن المادة 47(1) من القانون الجنائي تنص على أن " يعاقب بالسجن لمدة لا تقل عن اثنتي عشرة سنة وقد تمتد إلى عقوبة السجن المؤبد كل شخص يُدان لكونه قد جامع جنسياً أي طفلة يقل عمرها عن 14 عاماً سواء برضاها أم بغير رضاها(20).
