The United Nations should assist in bridging that divide and provide the necessary support and resources, especially to the United Nations information centres in developing countries.

١٢ - ترحب باﻹجراءات التي اتخذتها بعض الدول اﻷعضاء فيما يتعلق بتقديم الدعم المالي والمادي إلى مراكز اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام في عواصمها وتدعو اﻷمين العام إلى التشاور، من خلال إدارة شؤون اﻹعلام، مع الدول اﻷعضاء حسب الاقتضاء بشأن إمكانية تزويد المراكز بدعم إضافي وطوعي على الصعيد الوطني؛

20. Since 1 August 1994, some 30 print products have been distributed world wide to United Nations information centres and other United Nations field offices for redissemination, and to media, non-governmental organizations, parliamentarians, government ministries and others.

40 - ترحب بجهود إدارة شؤون الإعلام الرامية إلى استعادة تخصيص موارد إضافية إلى مراكز الأمم المتحدة للإعلام التي تعرضت لخفض موظفيها ومواردها الأخرى كنتيجة لممارسات خفض الميزانية التي نفذت في السنوات القليلة الماضية؛

His delegation hoped that as a result of that review, the staff and the financial resources freed in high-cost developed countries would be transferred to the United Nations information centres in developing countries, in which it might be necessary to strengthen those activities.
ويأمل وفد بلده في أن يؤدي هذا الاستعراض إلى تحويل الموظفين والموارد المالية المحررة في البلدان المتقدمة النمو المرتفعة التكلفة إلى مراكز الأمم المتحدة للإعلام في البلدان النامية، التي قد يكون من الضروري تعزيز تلك الأنشطة فيها.
