1. In his answers to the Commission's questionnaire, the Minister for Foreign Affairs made the following statements on behalf of the Republic of Macedonia:

25. Turning to the topic of shared natural resources, she said that her Government's replies to the Commission's questionnaire on State practice regarding oil and gas would be provided as soon as possible.

While the point was made that more information on State practice was needed, it was also noted that in some cases it was extremely difficult to trace and identify relevant practice, while in others it was impossible to reply to the Commission's questionnaire since many Governments had no systematic procedures in that area.

(12) Furthermore, to the best of the Commission's knowledge, the unilateral withdrawal of reservations has never given rise to any particular difficulty and none of the States or international organizations which replied to the Commission's questionnaire on reservations has noted any problem in that regard.
