At its first meeting, in the light of the decision on the location of the Secretariat and the experience of other international agreements and institutions, the Conference of the Parties requested the Secretariat to undertake a study on the advantages and disadvantages of using the euro, the Swiss franc or the United States dollar as the currency of the accounts and budget of the Convention for its consideration at its third meeting.

The Conference of the Parties adopted a number of reforms requiring the Assembly's support, particularly the introduction of the Euro as the budget and accounting currency from 2008-2009.
واعتمد مؤتمر الأطراف عددا من الإصلاحات التي تتطلب دعم الجمعية العامة، ولا سيما بدء استخدام اليورو بوصفه عملة الميزانية والأعمال المحاسبية اعتبارا من 2008-2009.
