وينص الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان على أنه لا يجوز استرقاق أحد أو استعباده.

وتجدر اﻹشارة كذلك الى المادة ٨ من العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية التي تنص على حظر الرق والاتجار بالرقيق في جميع صورها، كما تعترف بحق كل إنسان في عدم جواز استعباده.

Such constitutional human rights comply fully with international law, particularly article 4 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: " No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms " .
وتمتثل حقوق الإنسان الدستورية هذه تماماً لمبادئ القانون الدولي، ولا سيما المادة 4 من الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان: " لا يجوز استرقاق أحد أو استعباده وعلى حظر الرق والاتجار بالرقيق بجميع صورهما " .
