وأعرب عن تأييده الكامل لما خلص إليه السيد غيسة في الورقة التي أعدها من أنه لا بد من الاستماع إلى الشعوب الأصلية في عملية اتخاذ القرارات فيما يتعلق بالمشاريع الإنمائية، وأكد أن البنك عاكف حالياً على إعادة النظر في سياسته بشأن الشعوب الأصلية لإدراج لغة صريحة يُكفل بموجبها الاستماع إلى الشعوب الأصلية ومشاطرتها منافع استغلال مواردها وأراضيها.

Therefore, more attention has to be accorded to national and international mechanisms to halt the illegal exploitation of natural resources and enable the countries concerned to make full use of their resources for the benefit of their own peoples.
ولذلك، ينبغي إيلاء المزيد من الاهتمام للآليات الوطنية والدولية لوضع حد للاستغلال غير القانوني للموارد الطبيعية وتمكين البلدان المعنية من استغلال مواردها استغلالا تاما من أجل منفعة شعوبها.
