58. The South-East Asian country Parties to the UNCCD have launched the process of preparation of NAPs and SRAPs to combat land degradation and mitigate the effects of drought, with the aim of supporting countries in their efforts and to strengthen coordination and complementarity between NAPs and RAPs.

Building on this experience, UNDP would be able to support efforts of the Parties to the CCD, to promote the mobilization of resources through a multi-source funding approach.

The final action plan for coordinated action in the drylands was submitted for the consideration of the senior officials of the Environment Management Group, the Committee for the Review and Implementation of the Convention at its twelfth session and the Conference of the Parties to the Convention to Combat Desertification at its eleventh session.
وتم تقديم خطة العمل النهائية لتنسيق الإجراءات في الأراضي الجافة لكي ينظر فيها كبار موظفي فريق إدارة البيئة، ولجنة استعراض الاتفاقية وتنفيذها في دورته الثانية عشرة، ومؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر في دورته الحادية عشرة.

40. In September 2013, Gender Day was organized in Windhoek, under the theme " Drylands women's empowerment " , on the margins of the eleventh session of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention to Combat Desertification.
40 - وفي أيلول/سبتمبر 2013 نظم في ويندهوك يوم الشؤون الجنسانية تحت العنوان " الأراضي الجافة والتمكين للمرأة " على هامش الدورة الحادية عشرة لمؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر.

This submission is presented following decisions 6/COP.3 and 20/COP.3, and specifically pursuant to decision 20/COP.4 of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention to Combat Desertification, which requests Parties to provide written comments on the questions of procedures for the resolution of questions of implementation under article 27 of the Convention.

35. He welcomed the focus of the recent Conference of the Parties to the Convention to Combat Desertification on the role of pastoralists, who were responsible for managing a significant proportion of the world's drylands and hailed the increased emphasis on implementation of the Convention, noting that the International Year of Deserts and Desertification, 2006, provided a great opportunity for mobilizing international and domestic resources.
35 - ورحب باهتمام مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر الذي عقد مؤخرا بدور الرعاة الذين تقع عليهم مسؤولية إدارة نسبة كبيرة من الأراضي الجافة في العالم، وأشاد بالتأكيد الشديد على تنفيذ الاتفاقية، مشيرا إلى أن السنة الدولية للصحارى والتصحر، 2006، تتيح فرصة عظيمة لتعبئة الموارد الدولية والمحلية.

It produced an Environment Management Group report, Global Drylands: A UN system-wide response, which was submitted to the Conference of the Parties to the Convention to Combat Desertification at its tenth session, held in Changwon, Republic of Korea, in October 2011.
وقد أعدَّ الفريق تقريرَ فريق إدارة البيئة بعنوان ' ' الأراضي الجافة في العالم: استجابة من منظومة الأمم المتحدة بأسرها`` الذي قُدم إلى مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر في دورته العاشرة التي عقدت في تشانغوون، جمهورية كوريا، في تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2011.

At their nineteenth meeting, the senior officials approved the action plan and, in view of the accomplishment of its tasks, decided to conclude the work of the issue management work on land by the submission of the action plan to the Conference of the Parties to the Convention to Combat Desertification at its eleventh session.
14 - وافق كبار الموظفين في اجتماعهم التاسع عشر على خطة العمل وقرروا، في ضوء إنجاز فريق إدارة القضايا المعني بالأراضي المهام الموكلة إليه، اختتام عمل هذا الفريق بتقديم خطة العمل لمؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر في دورته الحادية عشرة.

A side event was held on 30 September 2009 during the ninth session of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention to Combat Desertification, in Buenos Aires, to familiarize member States with the decision of the Environment Management Group and to seek their guidance and support in the work of the issue management group.
عُقدت فعالية جانبية يوم 30 أيلول/سبتمبر 2009 أثناء الدورة التاسعة لمؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر في بوينس آيرس لإعلام الدول الأعضاء بمقرر فريق الإدارة البيئية، وطلب توجيهاتها ودعمها لأعمال فريق إدارة القضايا.

The forum was attended by ministers and high-level representatives of those developing country Parties to the UNCCD that have adopted their national action programmes, together with their partners to consider ways to strengthen the timely and efficient implementation of the UNCCD.
وحضر المنتدى وزراء وممثلون رفيعو المستوى من البلدان النامية الأطراف في اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر التي اعتمدت برامج العمل الوطنية الخاصة بها بالتعاون مع شركائها وذلك من أجل النظر في السبل الكفيلة بتعزيز تنفيذ اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر تنفيذاً فعالاً وفي الوقت المناسب.

4. At the same meeting, a statement was made by Mr. Jose Luis Herranz, Director-General of the Ministry of the Rural, Marine and Natural Environment of Spain, on behalf of Ms. Elena Espinosa, President of the Conference of the Parties to the UNCCD.
4- وفي الجلسة نفسها، أدلى السيد خوسيه لويس هيرانث، المدير العام بوزارة البيئة الريفية والبحرية والطبيعية بإسبانيا، ببيان باسم السيدة إيلينا إسبينوسا، رئيسة مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر.

6. The sixth session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNCCD (COP 6) will be held from 25 August to 5 September 2003 in Havana, Cuba.
6- ستعقد الدورة السادسة لمؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر (مؤتمر الأطراف) في الفترة من 25 آب/أغسطس إلى 5 أيلول/سبتمبر 2003 بهافانا، كوبا.

10. Pursuant to the decisions by the respective Conferences of the Parties to the UNCCD and CBD, initiatives on the joint work programme between the UNCCD and CBD on the biological diversity of dry and sub-humid lands have been progressing steadily.
10- عملاً بالمقررات التي أصدرها كل من مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر واتفاقية التنوع البيولوجي، تتقدم باضطراد المبادرات المتعلقة ببرنامج العمل المشترك بين اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر واتفاقية التنوع البيولوجي بشأن التنوع الحيوي في الأراضي الجافة وشبه الرطبة.

Recalling the General Assembly resolution 51/180 whereby it approved the interim arrangements for the Conference of the Parties to the CCD and the Secretariat of the Convention,
إذ يشير إلى قرار الجمعية العامة ١٥/٠٨١ الذي وافقت فيه الجمعية على الترتيبات المؤقتة المتعلقة بمؤتمر اﻷطراف في اتفاقية مكافحة التصحر وبأمانة الاتفاقية؛
