137. After comparing the various forms of family violence the Special Rapporteur has noted certain factors linked to the abuse of children within the family.
137- وبعد مقارنة شتى أشكال العنف الأسري، لاحظت المقررة الخاصة بعض العوامل المتصلة بالإساءة إلى الأطفال داخل الأسرة.

It provides information on the incidence of various types of violence against children within the family, schools, alternative care institutions and detention facilities, places where children work and communities.

The Chairman said that, pursuant to General Assembly resolution 56/138, an in-depth study of violence against children within the family, schools, alternative-care institutions and detention facilities, the workplace and communities had been carried out under the leadership of Paulo Sérgio Pinheiro, the Independent Expert appointed by the Secretary-General.

72. In particular, the Committee was concerned that appropriate measures had not been taken to prevent and combat ill-treatment of children within the family and at the lack of information on this matter.
72- وعلى وجه الخصوص، ساور اللجنة القلق إزاء عدم اتخاذ التدابير المناسبة لمنع ومكافحة إساءة معاملة الأطفال داخل الأسرة وإزاء نقص المعلومات المتعلقة بهذه المسألة.

(a) Undertake a study on the extent of abuse and ill-treatment of children in the family;
