7. Requests the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme to report to the United Nations Environment Assembly at its second session on progress in the implementation of the present resolution.

2. In the resolution, the Assembly requested the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme to forward the following documents to the Open-ended Working Group:
2 - وفي هذا القرار طلبت الجمعية إلى المدير التنفيذي لبرنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة أن يقدم الوثائق التالية إلى الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية:

Subject to the approval of the Conference of the Parties, the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme may establish other trust funds, provided that they are consistent with the objective of the Convention.

12. Requests the United Nations Environment Programme to continue providing support for the effective conduct of the work of the Scientific Committee and for the dissemination of its findings to the General Assembly, the scientific community and the public;
12 - تطلب إلى برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة أن يواصل تقديم الدعم للجنة العلمية حتى تتمكن من الاضطلاع بأعمالها بفعالية ومن تعميم النتائج التي تخلص إليها على الجمعية العامة والأوساط العلمية والجمهور؛

12. Requests the United Nations Environment Programme to continue providing support for the effective conduct of the work of the Scientific Committee and for the dissemination of its findings to the General Assembly, the scientific community and the public;
12 - تطلب إلى برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة أن يواصل تقديم الدعم من أجل اضطلاع اللجنة العلمية بأعمالها بفعالية، ولتعميم النتائج التي تخلص إليها على الجمعية العامة والأوساط العلمية والجمهور؛

Requests the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme to expedite the recruitment process for all approved staff posts in the Secretariat that are currently vacant;

11 - تطلب إلى برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة أن يواصل تقديم الدعم للجنة العلمية لكي تتمكن من الاضطلاع بأعمالها بفعالية وتعميم النتائج التي تخلص إليها على الجمعية العامة والأوساط العلمية والجمهور؛

6. Requests the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme to submit a follow-up report on the findings, results and recommendations to the Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum at its eleventh special session, in 2010.
6 - يطلب إلى المدير التنفيذي لبرنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة أن يقدم تقرير متابعة عن الاستنتاجات والنتائج والتوصيات إلى مجلس الإدارة/المنتدى البيئي الوزاري في دورته الاستثنائية الحادية عشرة في عام 2010.

These decisions would enable UNEP to maintain its contribution in these areas at an appropriate level.
ومن شأن هذه المقررات أن تساعد برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة أن يحافظ علي مساهماته في هذه المجالات عند المستوى اللائق.

The Convention secretariat, WHO and UNEP should prepare a joint technical document on that topic in order to raise awareness about it.
وينبغي لأمانة الاتفاقية ولمنظمة الصحة العالمية وبرنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة أن تعد وثيقة تقنية مشتركة عن ذلك الموضوع للتوعية به.

Strengthening the capacity of UNEP could provide it with the mandate and authority to establish a system that enables ministers, through the Governing Council, to link global environmental policy with global financing for the environment, including by strengthening GEF as a major financial mechanism for global environment and providing it with strategic direction.
27 - ومن شأن تعزيز قدرات برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة أن يزود البرنامج بولاية وسلطة تتيحان له إنشاء نظام يسمح للوزراء بأن يقوموا، من خلال مجلس الإدارة، بربط السياسات البيئية العالمية بالتمويل العالمي للبيئة، ويشمل ذلك تدعيم مرفق البيئة العالمية بوصفه آلية تمويل رئيسية للبيئة العالمية، وتزويده بوجهة استراتيجية.

The representative of Egypt stressed his country's position that this was not a new issue in the Governing Council and that it was within the UNEP's mandate to consider the environmental status of and provide assistance to the Palestinian State.
