By its decision 23/COP.7, the Conference of the Parties (COP) requested the Executive Secretary to report to the COP at its eighth session on the status of the trust funds established under the financial rules of the COP.
طلب مؤتمر الأطراف، بمقرره 23/م أ-7، إلى الأمين التنفيذي أن يقدم إلى مؤتمر الأطراف في دورته الثامنة تقريراً عن حالة الصندوقين الاستئمانيين المنشأين بمقتضى القواعد المالية لمؤتمر الأطراف.

By the same decision, the COP also decided that the review of ways and means for improving the procedures for communication of information and the quality and format of reports to be submitted to the COP will take place at COP 8. In addition, the COP requested the Executive Secretary to report to the COP on the measures taken to implement this decision.
كما قرر المؤتمر، بموجب المقرر نفسه، أن يجري في الدورة الثامنة لمؤتمر الأطراف استعراض سبل ووسائل تحسين إجراءات تبليغ المعلومات، فضلاً عن تحسين نوعية وشكل التقارير التي تُقدَّم إلى مؤتمر الأطراف، وطلب إلى الأمين التنفيذي أن يقدم إلى مؤتمر الأطراف تقريراً عن التدابير المتخذة لتنفيذ هذا المقرر.

4. Requests the Executive Secretary to submit to the Conference of the Parties at its fourth session, through the Subsidiary Body for Implementation, as appropriate, a final report on financial performance in the biennium 1996-1997, including audited financial statements, and an initial report on financial performance in 1998;
٤- يطلب إلى اﻷمين التنفيذي أن يقدم إلى مؤتمر اﻷطراف في دورته الرابعة، عن طريق الهيئة الفرعية للتنفيذ، وحسب الاقتضاء، تقريراً نهائيا عن اﻷداء المالي في فترة السنتين ٦٩٩١-٧٩٩١، يتضمن بيانات مالية مراجعة، وتقريراً أولياً عن اﻷداء المالي في عام ٨٩٩١؛

Recalling its decision 17/CP.2, paragraph 2, whereby it requested the Executive Secretary to submit to the Subsidiary Body for Implementation, at its fifth session, further options for reducing the cost of documentation for the meetings of the Conference of the Parties and its subsidiary bodies,
