At its sixty-eighth session, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to report to the Committee on Information at its thirty-sixth session and to the Assembly at its sixty-ninth session on the activities of the Department of Public Information and on the implementation of all recommendations and requests contained in the resolution (resolution 68/86 B).

Notes the uneven development of social media among the official languages of the United Nations, and requests the Secretary-General to report to the Committee on Information at its thirty-seventh session on the strategy of the Department of Public Information to ensure, by a more balanced use of all six official languages, that social media contribute to raising awareness of and support for the activities of the Organization;
