1. The Chairman drew attention to draft decision A/C.5/60/L.44, entitled " expenditure authorization for the biennium 2006-2007 " .

Neither appropriations nor spending authorities are recognized as income except to the extent that a matching assessment on Member States has been levied.

3. The Fifth Committee considered the question of expenditure authorization for the biennium 2006-2007 at its 62nd, 63rd and 65th meetings, on 20, 23 and 28 June 2006.
3 - وقد نظرت اللجنة الخامسة في مسألة الإذن بالإنفاق لفترة السنتين 2006-2007 في جلساتها 62 و 63 و 65 المعقودة في 20 و 23 و 28 حزيران/يونيه 2006.

The Assembly has before it a draft decision entitled " expenditure authorization for the biennium 2006-2007 " , recommended by the Fifth Committee in paragraph 8 of its report.

4. At its 65th meeting, on 28 June 2006, the Committee had before it a draft decision entitled " expenditure authorization for the biennium 2006-2007 " (A/C.5/60/L.44), which was submitted by the Chairman of the Committee.

1. The Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions has considered the report of the Secretary-General on expenditure authorization for the biennium 2006-2007 (A/60/889).
1 - نظرت اللجنة الاستشارية لشؤون الإدارة والميزانية في تقرير الأمين العام عن الإذن بالإنفاق لفترة السنتين 2006-2007 (A/60/889).

1. The Chairman drew attention to the Secretary-General's report on the expenditure authorization for the biennium 2006-2007 (A/60/889) and to the related report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (ACABQ) (A/60/7/Add.40).

It is my delegation's understanding that paragraph 3 of the appropriations resolution does not mean automaticity of approval of the Secretary-General's request for spending authority.
ويفهم وفدي أن الفقرة 3 من قرار الاعتمادات لا تعني تلقائية الموافقة على طلب الأمين العام الإذن بالإنفاق.
