Yemen had implemented the provisions of those instruments in accordance with its Islamic and Arab principles.
وقد نفَّذ اليمن أحكام هذين الصكين وفقاً لمبادئه الإسلامية والعربية.

Some Islamic and Arab communities were suffering growing discrimination on religious and ethnic grounds, with direct consequences for the life of the victims and their families.
وبعض الجماعات الإسلامية والعربية قد عانت من اطراد التمييز لأسباب دينية وعرقية، مع تأثر حياة الضحايا وأسرهم بعواقب مباشرة لذلك.

It was fortunate that such practices did not occur in countries which espoused and practised Arab and Islamic values.

The independent expert on minority issues, in the course of her country visits, has cautioned against increasing Islamophobia within mainstream society, stereotypes about Muslim women that fuel anti-Muslim sentiment and counter-terrorism measures that make members of Muslim and Arab communities feel targeted and harassed.
وحذرت الخبيرة المستقلة المعنية بقضايا الأقليات، في إطار زياراتها القطرية من تزايد الخوف من الإسلام في عموم المجتمع، وتزايد وضع أنماط للمسلمات تؤدي إلى تأجيج المشاعر المناهضة للإسلام، واتخاذ تدابير لمكافحة الإرهاب تجعل أفراد الطوائف الإسلامية والعربية تشعر بالاستهداف والمضايقة.

Those early refugees had not been very numerous, and had been satisfactorily integrated into Yemeni society, thanks to Yemen's fulfilment of its humanitarian duty under the various human rights instruments to which it had acceded, its customs, and its Islamic and Arab traditions.
إذا لم تكن هذه الموجات بأعداد كبيرة في بداياتها وتم إدماجها بصورة مرضية في المجتمع اليمني، وذلك بفضل وفاء اليمن بواجبها الإنساني بموجب مختلف الصكوك الدولية التي انضمت إليها وانطلاقا من تقاليدها الإسلامية والعربية.

Accordingly, as a first step, we call upon States and their media to ensure objectivity and transparency in handling issues and crises pertaining to developing States, and to adopt serious measures to confront all hostile, provocative and discriminatory practices committed against peoples, especially the peoples of the Islamic and Arab States.
ونطالب كخطوة أولى لمعالجتها قيام الدول، وخصوصا أجهزة الإعلام فيها، بانتهاج الموضوعية والشفافية عند تناولها لقضايا وأزمات الدول النامية، فضلا عن اتخاذها لجملة من التدابير الجادة والكفيلة بالتصدي لجميع ممارسات العداء والتحريض والتمييز ضد شعوبها، وخصوصا الإسلامية والعربية منها.

Special Rapporteurs 5. The report of the Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance entitled " Situation of Muslims and Arab peoples in various parts of the world " (E/CN.4/2006/17) was submitted pursuant to Commission on Human Rights resolution 2005/3.
5 - قُدم تقرير المقرر الخاص المعني بالأشكال المعاصرة للعنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكره الأجانب وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب والمعنون " حالة الشعوب الإسلامية والعربية في مختلف أرجاء العالم " E/CN.4/2006/17)) عملا بقرار لجنة حقوق الإنسان 2005/3.

The conclusions of the expert seminar, which began a process of reflection on the underlying causes, manifestations, expressions and lasting solutions to the issue of Islamophobia, the basis of the report on the situation of Muslims and Arab peoples in various parts of the world (E/CN.4/2006/17) in the aftermath of the events of 11 September 2001.
وتشكل استنتاجات هذه الحلقة الدراسية، التي مكنت من الشروع في التفكير بشأن الأسباب الجذرية لمسألة كره الإسلام ومظاهره وتجلياته والحلول الدائمة له، قاعدة لإعداد تقرير عن حالة الشعوب الإسلامية والعربية في مختلف أرجاء العالم عقب أحداث 11 أيلول/سبتمبر 2001 (E/CN.4/2006/17).

Kuwait stood ready to work together with the Committee on Information and DPI to increase freedom of the media as long as that did not conflict with Arab and Islamic traditions and values.
وأوضح أن الكويت مستعدة للعمل جنبا إلى جنب مع لجنة الإعلام وإدارة شؤون الإعلام من أجل زيادة حرية وسائط الإعلام مادام لا يتعارض مع التقاليد والقيم الإسلامية والعربية.

35. His delegation was extremely concerned by the Western media's deliberate disregarding of the third world's concerns as well as its continued attempts to distort the historical, cultural and religious realities of the Muslim and Arab peoples.
35 - وقال إن القلق يساور وفده بسبب تعمد وسائط الإعلام الغربية على تجاهل مشاغل العالم الثالث، فضلا عن المحاولات المتواصلة لتشويه الحقائق التاريخية والثقافية والدينية للشعوب الإسلامية والعربية.

A climate of widespread and systematic suspicion descended on Muslim and Arab communities in many non-Muslim countries.
كما أحاط بالجاليات الإسلامية والعربية في العديد من البلدان غير الإسلامية جو من الارتياب العام السائد.
