At the meeting held in Norway, which included participants from Denmark, Finland and Sweden, papers were presented on gender roles in the media and on efforts to sensitize journalists and the public to the role of the media.
وفي الاجتماع المعقود بالنرويج ضم مشاركين من الدانمرك وفنلندا والسويد، قدمت ورقات بحثية عن أدوار الجنسين في مجال الإعلام وعن الجهود الرامية إلى توعية الصحفيين والجمهور العام بدور وسائل الإعلام.

1. In its resolution 54/82 B of 6 December 1999, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to report to the Committee on Information at its twenty-second session, in 2000, and to the General Assembly at its fifty-fifth session, in 2000, on the activities of the Department of Public Information and on the implementation of the recommendations contained therein.

The Ministry of Education provided media education material, including downloadable articles on how gender was constructed in the media and on various other topics, such as health, beauty, role models, sexism, migration and racism.
