3. Considering moreover article 18, paragraph 3 of the Protocol to the African Charter of Human and Peoples' Rights requesting all States to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women and to protect their rights as stipulated in international declarations and conventions,
وإذ نضع في اعتبارنا كذلك الفقرة 3 من المادة 18 من بروتوكول الميثاق الأفريقي لحقوق الإنسان والشعوب التي تطالب جميع الدول بالقضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة وحماية حقها المنصوص عليه في الإعلانات والاتفاقيات الدولية؛

That text simply recommended to States parties that they should " ensure the elimination of every discrimination against women and also ensure the protection of the rights of the woman and the child as stipulated in international declarations and conventions " (art. 18, para. 3).
فهذا الأخير يكتفي بتوصية الدول الأطراف بأن " تسهر على القضاء على جميع ضروب التمييز ضد المرأة وأن تضمن الحماية لحقوق المرأة والطفل حسبما تنص عليه الإعلانات والاتفاقيات الدولية " (المادة 18، الفقرة 3).

Considering further article 18 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights of 26 June 1981 requesting all States parties to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women and protect women's rights as stipulated in international declarations and conventions,
وإذ نضع في اعتبارنا كذلك المادة 18 من الميثاق الأفريقي لحقوق الإنسان والشعوب المؤرخ 26 حزيران/يونيه 1981، التي طالبت جميع الدول بالقضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة وكفالة حقوقها على نحو ما هو منصوص عليه في الإعلانات والاتفاقيات الدولية،

It should be noted that Benin attaches particular importance to article 18, paragraph 3, of the African Charter of Human Rights, which makes the State responsible for “ensuring the elimination of all discrimination against women and the protection of the rights of women and of the child as prescribed by international declarations and conventions”.
ومن الجدير بالذكر أن بنن تولي أهمية خاصة للفقرة 3 من المادة 18 من الميثاق التي تنص على التزام الدولة بـ " الحرص على القضاء على أي تمييز ضد المرأة، وكفالة حماية حقوق المرأة والطفل بصيغتها الواردة في الإعلانات والاتفاقيات الدولية " .

It sets forth the responsibility of the State to “ensure the elimination of all discrimination against women and the protection of the rights of women and of the child as prescribed in international declarations and conventions”.

1. Despite international declarations and conventions on violence against women and the vast literature analysing the phenomenon as well as recommendations for countering such violence in general, there is far less material published about violence against indigenous women and girls specifically and the ways in which indigenous women explain and understand violence.

40. The African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights enshrines the principle of non-discrimination on the grounds of race, ethnic group, colour, sex, language, religion, political or any other opinion, national and social origin, fortune, birth or other status calls on all States Parties to eliminate every discrimination against women and to ensure the protection of the rights of women as stipulated in international declarations and conventions.
40 - يكرس الميثاق الأفريقي لحقوق الإنسان والشعوب مبدأ عدم التمييز على أساس العرق، أو المجموعة الإثنية، أو اللون، أو الجنس، أو اللغة، أو الدين، أو الرأي السياسي أو غيره من الآراء، أو الأصل الوطني والاجتماعي، أو الثروة، أو الميلاد، أو أي وضع آخر، ويهيب بجميع الدول الأعضاء أن تزيل جميع صور التمييز ضد المرأة وأن تكفل حماية حقوق المرأة حسبما نصّت عليها الإعلانات والاتفاقيات الدولية.

The General Directorate for Development Cooperation strategy note on " Basic Health " of August 2002 is based on, inter alia, the universal right to basic health and refers to the various relevant international declarations and conventions. It states that " Belgium shares the international community's goal of ensuring that partner countries are able to offer a minimum package of health services to all ... " .
وتستند المذكرة الاستراتيجية " الصحة الأساسية " التي أعدتها الإدارة العامة للتعاون لأغراض التنمية في آب/أغسطس 2002، ضمن أشياء أخرى، إلى الحق العام في الصحة الأساسية، وتشير إلى مختلف الإعلانات والاتفاقيات الدولية التي جاء فيها أنّ: " بلجيكا تشاطر أمل المجتمع الدولي في أن تتمكن البلدان الأطراف من توفير حد أدنى من الخدمات الصحية للجميع... " .
