32 - وتُعقَد الدورة الثانية للمؤتمر قبل انعقاد الدورة الثانية والستين لجمعية الصحة العالمية مباشرة وذلك وفقاً لتوقّعات الاستراتيجية الجامعة للسياسات التابعة للنهج الاستراتيجي وقرار المؤتمر 1/1 الذي يقضي بأن تعقد دورات المؤتمر بالاقتران مع اجتماعات مجالس إدارة المنظمات الحكومية الدولية ذات الصلة.

Recalling its resolution II/4 C, in which it decided to implement a project with the overall objective of promoting the implementation of paragraph 15 (b) of the Overarching Policy Strategy of the Strategic Approach that would, among other things, include the development of specific recommendations for further international cooperative action for consideration by the Conference at its third session,

The summary is intended to provide overall orientation and guidance, in line with the objectives of the Overarching Policy Strategy of the Strategic Approach, to all stakeholders to facilitate their efforts to implement the Strategic Approach effectively in the coming eight years.

2. Decides to implement a project with the overall objective of promoting the implementation of paragraph 15 (b) of the Overarching Policy Strategy of the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management with reference to relevant portions of the Global Plan of Action;
2 - يقرّر أن ينفذ مشروعاً غايته العامة تعزيز تنفيذ الفقرة 15 (ب) من الاستراتيجية الجامعة للسياسات التابعة للنهج الاستراتيجي للإدارة الدولية للمواد الكيميائية في ضوء الأجزاء ذات الصلة من خطة العمل العالمية؛

1. The terms of reference that follow are for a working group with a mandate to develop a proposal for an information system or framework of systems and actions, where appropriate, to promote the achievement of paragraph 15 (b) of the Overarching Policy Strategy of the Strategic Approach which states:

The overall objective of the working group is to promote the implementation of paragraph 15 (b) of the Overarching Policy Strategy of the Strategic Approach and related activities in the Global Plan of Action, in particular those relating to information management and dissemination in the case of chemicals in products. Specific objectives

Recalling also paragraph 7 (d) of the Overarching Policy Strategy of the Strategic Approach, which aims to promote and support the development and implementation of, and further innovation in, environmentally sound and safer alternatives, including cleaner production, informed substitution of chemicals of particular concern and nonchemical alternatives,

One of the functions of the International Conference on Chemicals Management set out in paragraph 24 of the Overarching Policy Strategy of the Strategic Approach is " to focus attention and call for appropriate action on emerging policy issues as they arise and to forge consensus on priorities for cooperative action " .

Paragraph 25 of the Overarching Policy Strategy of the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management provides that " where appropriate, sessions of the Conference should be held back-to-back with meetings of the governing bodies of relevant intergovernmental organizations in order to enhance synergies and costeffectiveness and to promote the Strategic Approach's multisectoral nature.
1 - تنص الفقرة 25 من الاستراتيجية الجامعة للسياسات التابعة للنهج الاستراتيجي للإدارة الدولية للمواد الكيميائية على أنّه " ينبغي أن تعقد دورات المؤتمر بالتعاقب مع اجتماعات الهيئات الإدارية للمنظمات الحكومية الدولية ذات الصلة، من أجل تعزيز التآزر وفعالية التكاليف والنهوض بالطابع المتعدد القطاعات للنهج الاستراتيجي.

Recalling the Overarching Policy Strategy of the Strategic Approach and its provisions on knowledge and information, which state, among other things, the objective of ensuring that information on chemicals throughout their life cycle, including, where appropriate, chemicals in products, is available, accessible, user-friendly, adequate and appropriate to the needs of all stakeholders,

(b) Development of guidance on what information could be transferred and how information access and exchange could take place to meet the needs of various stakeholder groups throughout product life cycles; considering best practices and successful experiences and taking into account paragraph 15 (c) of the Overarching Policy Strategy of the Strategic Approach;
