By its decision VIII/3, the Conference of the Parties mandated the Open-ended Working Group at its sixth session to consider in detail a proposal submitted by the South Asia Co-operative Environment Programme (SACEP) for the establishment in SACEP of a regional centre for South Asia, to be located in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
