وينبغي أن تشدد خطة التنمية العالمية فيما بعد عام 2015 على البعد الاجتماعي للتنمية المستدامة بالتركيز على الأسباب الجذرية للفقر ومعالجة أوجه اللامساواة عن طريق التمكين وبرامج العمل الاجتماعية الشاملة للجميع.

In fact, the persistence of poverty and the continued increase in inequality are, themselves, manifestations of the absence of social justice and the resulting lack of equal opportunities, participation and respect for human rights, and underscore the need to strengthen the social dimension of sustainable development.
